Carl Cox는 1962년 생으로 벌써 50대인 영국출신의 DJ이자 Producer입니다. 그는 Techno, House에서 이미 전설적인 DJ로 자리 매김했는데요. Cox는 세계적으로 Funk Groove House의 창시자 격이며, Techno 매니아 사이에서 Techno Bounce하면 가장 먼저 떠올르는 DJ라고 합니다. 수많은 댄스 페스티벌에서 헤드라이너로 활약하고 있으며, 세계 최대 일렉트로닉 뮤직 페스티발 중 하나인 Ultra Music Festival에서 Carl Cox and Friends라는 이름으로 매년 그들만의 스테이지를 달구고 있습니다. 또한, 지금도 그는 장르에 얽매이는 것을 거부하고 끊임 없는 진화 속에서 보다 다양한 장르로의 전환을 통해 재즈, 소울, 펑크, 힙합 등 폭 넓은 스타일로 진화하고 있습니다.
